Gabriel von Max had three children with his first wife Emma, consisting of a daughter Ludmilla (1874-1964) and two sons Corneille (Munich 1875-1924 Munich) and Colombo (Munich 1877-1970 Ammerland), both of whom followed in their father's footsteps and became artists.
